Guide
Getting started
From a fresh install to your first imported Widget Blueprint. About five minutes; no key and no network needed.
1. Install from Fab
Add Web to Widget to your Fab library, then install it to your Unreal Engine 5.8 engine from the launcher. The plugin is editor-only on Windows.
2. Enable the plugin
In your project, open Edit › Plugins, search for Web to Widget, tick it, and restart the editor when asked.
3. Import your first screen
Open Tools › Web to Widget: Import HTML and choose an .html file. Tailwind classes are expanded inside the plugin; nothing else needs installing.
The same import from a terminal:
python Plugins/DigitalBunkerWebUMG/Tools/webumg.py import main_menu.html --project MyGame.uproject
4. Find what it made
/Game/UI/WebThe Widget BlueprintSaved/WebUMG/report.jsonMachine-readable report: counts, diagnostics, bindings<name>.webumg.jsonThe manifest, next to your HTML, for code review5. Change the design, re-import
Edit the HTML and use Reimport from HTML in the Content Browser. Widgets are matched by name and class and reused in place, so your Blueprint wiring survives.
Warnings in the report are coded. Look each one up in Diagnostics.
